SUMMARY:Emergency Trauma Care (ETC)
DESCRIPTION:In Coordination with Virtus Lifestyle \n \n  \nEmergency Trauma Care (ETC) \nThe ETC training course focuses on providing emergency prehospital trauma care to those who have suffered major trauma involving blunt force trauma and penetrating wounds.  The course is designed for those with all backgrounds of medical training from a basic understanding to those who want to refresh and update their knowledge and skills. ETC follows the Tactical Emergency Casualty Care guidelines and those who successfully complete the course will earn a TECC certificate valid for two years. \nCourse topics include: \n\nAwareness\nRapid assessment\nEquipment familiarization and uses\nRecognition of massive hemorrhage\nThe body’s response to trauma\nTreatment for blunt and penetrating injuries\n\n  \nThe course involves lectures\, video\, slides and hands-on practice.  The instructors are active paramedics with over 40 years of combined experience in the field and instruction. \n  \nCourse Length: 8 hours \nEnrollment: Law Enforcement\, Military\, Security\, Fire & EMS\, and Civilians \nPre-Requisites: None. ETC allows the certificate holder to participate in the Scenario Training Day. \nCost: $150 Per Person
